To be fair, he said "if it is still available"... I think he figured you would've gotten it by now if you were going to, since that was January. (Just giving the benefit of the doubt..)

Mine has more of a sunburst wood look to the body. It looks like the back pickup has been replaced with an X2N. It also has a floyd rose tremolo which I also think was added later. But as for the sound, it's a very clear yet heavy sounding guitar. I own six guitars a Dean, an Ibenez, a strat, a start copy, a Gibson epiphone, and this D'Agastino. It is by far the heavyest guitar I ever played. The action is unbelievable. All I have to do is turn the volume knob up and I don't even need distortion. Over the years I have owed and played many guitars. But when ever I have the oppertunity, this D'Agostino is the one I prefer to play.
