Does anyone know how to set up alerts?

I am new to this and somebody told me there is a way to set up alerts for different things does anyone know how to do this?

You could set up RSS feeds by clicking the orange rss button on the results page. That would allow you to get notifications of new posts, if that's what you're looking for.

Could it be that is not working since the upgrade to the new layout ?

Yes, sorry about that - it was broken since yesterday. Fixed now though!
